Local Area
There are lots of attractions, pubs, shops and restaurants in the
South Lakes and also a large street market in the town of Ulverston,
all a few minutes from the apartment. The National Forest of Grizdale
just a short drive away with the Lake District and
Cumbria nearby to explore and visit.
Activities include a swimming pool, astro turf grounds for football,
bowling greens and a couple of golf courses around the area with great days out for all the family.
The Lake District is popular for the natural beauty and wildlife and various outdoor
activities giving the visitor a wealth of attractions and things to do. Visit historic
houses and museums, relax by the lake or take a trip on the steam rail.
Go to the very places of Wordsworth, Beatrice Potter and John
Ruskin whose homes are around the Lake District.
